About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Manager to join a highly regarded specialist litigation firm. This role offers the chance to take ownership of the firm's finance function, working closely with leadership to ensure the smooth running of all accounting operations.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day financial management of a professional services business while also contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's day-to-day finance function, including trust and office accounts.
• Oversee billing, reconciliations, payroll, month-end reporting and financial compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
• Manage trust accounting in accordance with industry requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and provide support to the leadership team.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
• Work collaboratively across both Brisbane and Gold Coast offices, with occasional travel as required.

Who This Suits

• Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Qualified Bookkeeper, Accountant or someone nearing completion of an Accounting degree.
• Previous trust accounting experience is essential.
• Experience using LEAP or similar legal practice management software.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Someone looking to build a long-term career in legal finance and accounting.
